Monday Sept 28 6:30 sharp - 9 pm (doors open at 6:00)
OISE-UT, 252 Bloor St W, the Peace Lounge 7th floor

In keeping with the orientation of the dialogue series “Remaking a Living”, toward Indigenous ways of reciprocal relationships with ourselves, each other and the Earth, we have been exploring the process of Theory U – moving from authoritarian styles of leadership to co-sensing/ co-creating: “leading from the emerging future.” In this dialogue, we are privileged to have Rehana Tejpar, a dancer and theatre artist with several years’ experience with Presencing, lead us through a process of deepening our understanding of this transformational system of thought and being.

This workshop will invite us through a journey down the “U” path proposed by this process, opening mind, heart and will towards a place of presencing and authenticity in leadership.  Together, we will create a space to embody and explore being in the present, letting go of our assumptions, and allowing the emergent future to come in.  Using somatic practices from Social Presencing Theatre and InterPlay, we will prototype a practice of creating in the moment, through storytelling, movement and stillness, inviting us to be more connected to our inner state and one another.  We will do this in an environment that respects our diversity, our different abilities, bodies and experiences with embodiment.  This is a practice that is open to anybody and every body and is done in an affirmative spirit of play.

After 10 years of designing and leading artful leadership programs within the not-for-profit sector, I became disenchanted with the conventional ways of work in organizations that left me feeling disengaged and creatively stifled.  I kept sensing the need for organizations and people who work within them, to live in greater alignment with their values and purpose.

I started bloom consulting as a container to design and facilitate participatory leadership processes in organizations, to rejuvenate creativity in individuals, teams and communities and to host conversations that matter.

I work with people in a way that invites them to be authentic, explore their creativity and build trusting relationships.

I am passionate mother, dancer and theatre artist, and love being in nature.
